Toyota has opened bookings for its new lifestyle pick-up truck, Hilux. They will launch the Hilux in March. Now, Toyota has revealed the official accessories that will be available with the Hilux. The prices of the accessories have not yet been revealed.

Many pick-up truck owners like to go camping. Tent with Canopy is the accessory that such people would choose. The tent would be installed on the canopy instead of on the roof.

Toyota is offering the wireless charger as an accessory for the Hilux which is surprising. Nowadays, Rs. sub-10 lakh cars come with a wireless charger. Even Toyota’s own Fortuner Legender comes with a wireless charger.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System with Air Compressor

Toyota is offering a tyre pressure monitoring system with the Hilux. It also gets an air compressor. This can come in handy for people who often go off-roading. While off-roading it is recommended that the air pressure should be decreased a bit for better grip. And when the person comes back on the tarmac, he can use the air compressor to refill the air.

There is also a front under-run that you can get with the Hilux. Many people and manufacturers call it a front skid plate. As of now, it is not known whether the skid plate is functional or only for cosmetic purposes.

You can also get a Tonneau cover with the Hilux. It will help in protecting the belongings that you keep in the bed. Moreover, it will also protect the bed from external factors of the environment. So, it will not get dirty and water will not get accumulated.

Roll Bar And Over Fender

If you will not be fitting the Hilux with a Tonneau cover then you can opt for the roll bar and over fender. Not only do they look cool and give Hilux a butch look but they should also provide protection to the pick-up truck in case of a rollover.

Tailgate assist is a simple hydraulic strut that will smoothen out the operation of opening and closing the tailgate of the bed.

Toyota will be offering the Hilux with 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that is also doing duty on the Fortuner. It will produce 204 PS of max power. The peak torque output is 420 Nm if you get the 6-speed manual gearbox and 500 Nm if you get the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

There are two drive modes namely, Eco and Power. A four-wheel drive system with a limited-slip differential will be offered as standard on the Hilux. Moreover, there is also a low-range gearbox and Toyota’s A-TRAC system.

The prices of the Hilux have not been announced officially. But we are expecting it to start at Rs. 30 lakhs to 35 lakhs ex-showroom. It will be sold in two variants namely, Standard and High. The only rival to the Hilux is the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.
